What is EditLogic?
EditLogic is a technical guide site for CapCut Desktop editors. Every article covers a specific problem — export errors, audio sync drift, color space mismatches, timeline lag, custom fonts, auto-captions — with enough technical context to understand what’s actually happening, not just which buttons to press.

Who writes the guides?
Abdul Hannan writes and maintains EditLogic. You can read more on the About page.

Is EditLogic affiliated with CapCut or ByteDance?
No. EditLogic is an independent, third-party resource. CapCut is a trademark of its respective owner. We are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or officially connected to CapCut.

Is the content on EditLogic free?
Yes. Every guide is free to read, with no paywall or subscription required.

Using the Site

How do I find the fix for my specific problem?
Browse by category in the main navigation — CapCut Performance & Lag, Audio Troubleshooting, Render & Export Errors, Media & Codec Guides, or CapCut Basics & Workflow. If you know the exact issue, use the search function or check the blog index for the full list of articles.

Do the guides work for CapCut on mobile or CapCut Web?
Most guides on EditLogic are written specifically for CapCut Desktop on Windows and Mac. Menu locations and some features differ on mobile and web versions. We note where a guide applies more broadly.

How often is content updated?
Articles are reviewed and updated when CapCut releases changes that affect the steps described. Check the “last updated” date at the top of each article for the most recent revision.

Can I suggest a topic or report an outdated guide?
Yes — use the contact form with details on what’s outdated or what you’d like covered.

Technical Questions

Why does CapCut keep crashing or lagging on my PC?
This usually comes down to cache buildup, insufficient hardware acceleration, or an overloaded timeline. See our guide on fixing CapCut Desktop lag for the full diagnostic process.

Why do my exports look different from the preview?
Preview playback and final export use different rendering pipelines, so color, sharpness, and audio can shift slightly. This is covered in detail in our export quality guide.

Is CapCut Desktop actually free?
CapCut Desktop has a free tier with optional paid upgrades (CapCut Pro) for certain premium effects, fonts, and cloud storage. Core editing, export, and most fixes covered on this site apply to the free version.
